Uinneag means window and it is a reference to the indifference of the church towards the welfare of the population.

Uinneag relates subtlety to the Church windows in Sutherland that were written on in desperation by people cleared from their homes by the Duke of Sutherland during the Clearances. Writing their names on the window of the Church, they referred to themselves as “the wicked generation”.
